We’re thrilled to announce a one-of-a-kind celebration: El Salvador Independence Day Celebration, proudly presented by the El Salvador Cultural Association of Edmonton (ESCA) in collaboration with Paraiso Tropical Latin Food Market (South).
This is the first-ever event of its kind hosted by ESCA, and together with Paraiso Tropical, we’re bringing you a vibrant day full of music, food, dance, and authentic Salvadoran pride.

From delicious pupusas and a special Salvadoran menu to live performances that will transport you straight to El Salvador, this is a community celebration you don’t want to miss!

After a long-awaited return, this beloved group is back to share the powerful rhythms and colorful traditions of Salvadoran folklore.
🌟 Ritmo Tropical Dance
Fresh from winning hearts at Heritage Days, this young and passionate troupe will keep the energy high with their Central and South American dance moves.
🌟 Max Mendez
The charismatic Salvadoran singer, part of Esquina Latina and former performer with the iconic band La Fiesta Friguey, will grace the stage before heading to the Centro Americano Music Fest 2025 in Austin, Texas. Don’t miss this chance to experience his electric voice live in Edmonton!
